Well Folks, I finally have them. I've got the hottest pepper on earth. I have
powder, pods and seeds in a very limited amount. These peppers are only grown in
a very specific place on the planet and are EXTREMELY difficult to get. I
specialize in acquiring hard to find hot peppers.
Bih Jolokia, Naga Jolokia, Naga Morich, Tezpur are all other names for this
pepper, and there are more...! The peppers go by a number of names, depending
which language you are speaking, local dialects, who you are talking to, but
they are all the same pepper.
Capsicum chinense - Same species
as Habanero and Scotch Bonnet. Some articles have listed it as a capsicum
frutescens, but this is incorrect. Not only is it very clearly a chinense, but
the flavour will tell you as well.
It has a very strong fruity flavour and
aroma, much stronger than any habanero that I've had. The heat is much more
intense than any pepper I've had. A Chilehead's dream come true.
